Last Saturday we went to a local railroad museum and got to ride an authentic train, about 5 miles or so, out to a super cool harvest fest. We climbed a haystack, rode on a hayride (the tractor was the main attraction here), bought treats at a bake sale, heard some old-timey music, played some games, and toured the train museum. What a fun day!
Yesterday, of course, was Halloween, and we did not come up with a plan until the day of. So we ventured off to a local pumpkin patch and sat on some tractors, saw (and smelled) a pen full of pigs, climbed another haystack, and picked out a pumpkin. Then, it was off to Target to pick up some candy for our trick-or-treaters...we only had about 8 kids come all night. Our bellies ached all weekend!!! Will also need a finishing touch for his costume. It's hard to find a play gun in CA. We settled with a Nerf dart gun to make his soldier costume complete. When, we got home we tried to load Will's belt up with a walkie talkie, a flashlight, and a gun holster, but he wouldn't have it for very long. As long as we got a pic....We stayed home and played with guns, had pizza, gave out a couple pieces of candy, and watched part of a movie. Good times!! Maybe we'll go out next year...we definitely won't be buying $20 worth of candy to give out!!! GOSH!! My tummy still hurts!!!!
