Happy 2nd Birthday, Will!

So the last few weeks have been super busy with Halloween, birthday parties, completing #2 of 4 CPA exams, and a weekend at the lake. And then, next week is Thanksgiving. How about a breather! Oh yeah...that's what the lake was for!!

Life can be so crazy and hectic, and our weekend really helped us to slow down and spend some time TOGETHER last week. The other major thing that occurred in the last 3weeks is that a good (military) friend of ours lost his life in a plane crash. That has been so rough, but the strength we have seen from his mom has encouraged us immensely and helped us to cherish our lives and our families. My ladies Bible Study has also been a wonderful journey through Luke. It's amazing how God in His infinite...everything...knows how to get our attention and call us to Himself!

So Will's birthday was really fun. We started the day out with a drive to the antique truck and tractor museum in Sacramento. Will really liked it, but he was frustrated that we didn't let him sit on all of the tractors. There were not many folks there, so we let him get on the ones that were not behind a rope!! Afterwards, it was lunch at Taco Bell and home for a nap. Then, it was over to the "jumpy house place" to set up for the big par-tay! We go sooooooooo much food and so many fire truck decorations. It was enormous fun! The kids enjoyed the jumpy houses and slides...unfortunately I spent most of my time in the party room and did not get many good pics of them playing. I did get one good one, but accidentally deleted it. GOSH! Anyway, you can tell by the sweaty little heads in the pics above that they had a blast. We had pizza, cup cakes, and presents, too. Everyone went home happy....and tired!!! I've been told that every year the party pretty much gets bigger and more expensive. That is not good news. Good thing we have a year to think about it! Enjoy the pics!
